SimpleCaddy & Phoca Gallery

The SimpleCaddy plugin can be integrated in the description field of any picture in Phoca Gallery. In PG, the description display should be set to Yes-HTML in the configuration and the plugin will then show up.

You will also have to copy the plg_simplecaddy.css located in /plugins/content on your server to your template.css file, also on your server.

Now you will have a double set of plugin css classes, one that has the standard class names, and a copy that has the –pg suffix appended to every class name. This suffix is also added to the plugin call in every description of your PG pictures.

How to add the plugin call to your images in PG?

SImpleCaddy has a menu button in the Control Panel showing the Phoca Gallery logo.

Specify the product you want to add to the pictures as well as the category. Then click the “Save” button in the toolbar.

SimpleCaddy indicates upon completion how many images were found and treated.

This is how it looks in PG in the description of a random image:

The plugin call contains the product code you selected, the picture filename taken from PG and the standard class suffix of –pg.

That’s all there is to it. Now your pictures have a SImpleCaddy plugin call added.

You can also remove the plugin code from all pictures or from a specific category.
